          NEW! (January 10th, 2012)
We will begin our Sound portion of the unit with a bang...literally!  When second grade hits tuning forks we will discover that vibrations produce sound.  As our unit progresses, we will explore how/why we hear sound, if sound can travel through the different states of matter, and the difference between pitch and volume.
